Sacked as assiostant manager at Kettering by the chairman, the manager of Kettering is also the club`s keeper so John was in charge of substitutions during the FA Cup replay v Leeds on the 8th December 2009. He made his subs during extra time when the score was 1-1. Kettering went onto lose 5-1
