The Olympic Football tournament got underway ahead of the official opening this weekend and we made the trip over to Coventry to watch New Zealand take on Belarus. ITFC history was made here with the All-White’s Tommy Smith becoming the first current Town player to become an Olympian. He quite possibly set an Olympic record too, booked in the first 30 seconds for a clumsy challenge on a Belarus forward!
