| Brian S. lived and grew up on the next street to me in winnington cheshire, he was 3 years older than I but we all played together on sunday pick-up games on the ICI jubilee playing fields Brian S. was a big star with the local youths as his skills on the ball were extraordinary.However He was not a big lad and he relied on quickness and a great feel for the game.we all believed he would replace Stanley Mathews as the greatest dribbler of the ball.
We had 3 things in common, other than the same given name,we loved football, we both had a stint with the vics. and we each won the mellville billiards trophy for under 15s at the local ICI.Lads club.I lost track of Brian after his Stoke City days (No.7) ironic. My English football career was ended when I moved to the US. in 1954.
Brian Siddall was a very good person and I feel proud that I knew him. Regards, Brian Maddock formally of Winnington Cheshire.

| Brian was with Wolverhampton Wanderers as a Trainee from 1947 before coming back to his home town Northwich. As well as playing for our local rivals the Vics he played for Witton Albion between Aug 26 and Nov 4 1950 making 15 appearances and scoring 3 times Phil Chadwick 14-06-2003 |
