Tony Mowbray has been sacked as manager of Celtic and will be replaced by former club captain and reserve-team coach Neil Lennon, the club have confirmed.
Assistant manager Mark Venus and first team coach Peter Grant have also been removed from their posts after Mowbray met chief executive Peter Lawwell

| Has been appointed manager of Glasgow Celtic after a £2M compensation package was agreed with WBA. Mowbray will be joined at Parkhead by former Town defensive partner Mark Venus. Venus has previoulsy been his assistant at WBA and Hibs. Ralph 16-06-2009 |
| At Boro we will allways be gratefull to Tony Mowbray. It was a sad day when he left. Captained us to promotion twice. Stayed loyal in difficult times. And he comes from our area. My brother went to school with him.
He once scored a fantastic equaliser in the last seconds of a cup tie against Everton. That was just like him.

| Tony was an inspirational leader and I had the priviledge of watching him many times, including his debut with Celtic. A hard, but fari, compassionate player who, like Paul Elliott, were at the Club at the wrong time and missed out on a lot of deserved success.
Tony suffered great joy, and despair, when he married the love of his life - a good Glasgow lass - who was taken away from him at such an early age. He moved on to rebuild his life and now gains my fullest respect as current manager of Hibs.

| Shocked when I found out Mogga got the Hibs job, but now, like every Hibs fan, I am delighted and thankfully for the job he is doing at present. Hibs are currently sitting 3rd in the SPL, a position we never thought we`d be in again due to bad management from previous managers. | Alright? Just wanted to say what a great player + servant Tony Mowbray was to our club.
He came to Scotland when we were going through one of the worst spell in our clubs illustrious history. Its just a pity that he couldnt have played for us when in a more successful era. Tony was a leader on the park + the fans took him to our hearts.
Our supporters club, The Tony Mowbray No.1 Celtic Supporters Club is still going strong and is and always will be proud to have the name his name associated with us!
A big Hail Hail to Tony from all the Bhoys up the road!
