Ken Butcher: Hi, Met Colin and family in 60s in South Africa. How are Ethne and Butch? (2008-03-24)

alison: hello to jessie viljoen could you please tell me where i could contact your dad as i would like him to sign my a@bc football card. thanks regards alison (2007-07-31)

Graham F Norbury (Manchester City): Dear Sir, In the 60s I went working in South Africa Johannesburg and played football for Johannesburg Rangers where I met Colin he was 15 years of age and very skillfull. We were in the first divison and highly rated. Our colours were back and white stripes like Newcastles United and our home ground was called Wembley.Whites on one side coloured on the other ground capacity about 30,000. He was one wing halve and I was the other. Sometimes he would play for a coloured team on a Sunday but I do remember him leaving to play for Ipswich - happy days in the land of sun shine. I would love to contact him to talk of those days. yours faithfully Graham. (2007-06-17)

peachy: Just found this site and it brings back great memories when i was a child and lived just down the road from colin when he lived in Defoe Road in Ipswich and used to sit on my bike outside his house hoping to get a glimpse of him...he was my favourite player and it was great when `Ace` got into the England Team...hope he is doing ok  (2007-06-07)

Virginia Weldon: I met Colin in Ipswich in about 1965/6. He was playing for the reserve team and I remember he was only 17. He hadn`t been in England long and I remember his South African accent. I remember watching him play and thinking how amazing he was. I dated him a couple of times but I doubt if he would remember a young and innocent blue eyed blond who was very naive. He may remember we had an minor accident in the car one of his team mates was driving. We were sitting in the back. My brother, Tim Weldon, who has following Ispwich Town faithfully over the years was very proud of the fact that I dated Colin, however briefly - especially when he excelled in the first team. I wish him well and hope he is happy living back in South Africa. He is an accomplished footballer. (2007-02-07)

mike horne ( ross county): MET COLIN IN JAMAICA MONTEGO BAY 1972. PLAYED A FEW GAMES OF TENNIS AGAINST HIM. HE WASNT A BAD PLAYER.HIM AND HIS WIFE A LOVELY COUPLE. IF HE READS THIS GET IN TOUCH. (2007-02-02)

Jessie Viljoen: Well i`ve definitely met him as i am his daughter, i don`t live with him anymore as he is living back in South Africa, but feel free to contact me if you require any information for your site. (2005-11-24)

david woodcock (itfc): the first game i went to was at norwich as a mere 12 year old back in the 60`s. he scored a hat trick and from then on although my life then was around norwich i supported the town. through thick and thin he was an inspiration and in 1977 when he returned to the team from the wilderness in the 3-0 hammering of cruyf and barcelona what a reception he got . a true star of the blues (2004-05-12)

Stuart Woodward: My first match was his debut against Portsmouth in March 1967. Colin scored a hat-trick!  (2002-12-24)
