After the war, Tom was still in Scotland so played for Ayr United for the 45/46 season (I think they won promotion) before returning to Ipswich.

Whilst a commando, he parachuted into China to help the resistnce against the Japanese

what happened to Tommy Brown who played for Ipswich during the mid 1950's. at the time that George Mcmillan was goalkeeper. There doesnt seem to be a picture or any info on him. [He's listed as Thomas Brown - Ralph]
