I met Matt Holland when Ipswich Town played Derby County and he signed my shirt which I have got is name on it, now it is on the wall in my flat next to my other shirt in a frame which was signed by all the 2002 / 03 season team, I had a special day when Ipswich Town played Wimbledon in April that season for supporting them for 30 years now it is 35 years

Matt Holland is one of my best players to play for Ipswich Towin in the nearly 30 years I have been a supporter. I have always felt that when he left to join Charlton Athletic for a fee of £750,000 was no near where he was worth because he was a player which was a good leader ( captain ) and almost played in every match in the time he was at Ipswich Town and was only booked a few times. But he was worth at less £5m or £6m because if you look how much Newcastle U.t.d. paid fo Titus Bramble £6m and I think Matt Holland was worth £6m to the club and the fans because we missed him and we let him go for peanuts. [Sadly adminstration, the collapse of ITV digital, and the need to save on his wages all meant we had to let him go quite cheaply]
