Andy Button (Ipswich): Born Gorebridge near Edinburgh,how do I know this? Many years ago when I lived in the north east(Whitley Bay to be precise) I used to go into the local newsagent and in conversation with one of the assistants she asked where I came from as I didnt have a geordie accent,I replied Ipswich,to which she said she had been born there and her father had been a footballer with the Town.It turned out that she was Dave Bell`s daughter and the first thing she told me was that "The Men who made the Town" ,which had just come out at the time, had got her dads birthplace wrong thus Gorebridge not Corbridge. (2006-05-25)
Andy Button (Ipswich): Played for Arniston Rangers & Musselburgh Bruntonians before joining Wallyford. Died in 1986. (2006-05-22)
