Portsmouth 1 Ipswich Town 2
This was the Town's second away victory in the short space of four days, but it was not until McCann had shot Portsmouth into the lead in the 23rd minute that O'Rourke, two minutes later, put the scores level with a picture goal.
Morris floated over a centre from the right and up went the inside-left to head the ball triumphantly into the net.
This goal inspired the Town after a shaky start and it came as no surprise when in the 34th minute they took the lead from a Hegan corner kick.
The ball was driven hard and low towards the near post and again it was O'Rourke who stuck out a foot to beat Milkins from point blank range.
