Plymouth Argyle 0 Ipswich Town 1
A 32nd minute goal from John O'Rourke gave Ipswich two more valuable promotion points against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.
This match was really all to easy for the Town except for a short spell midway through the second half when Hancock made two fine saves.
It was one way traffic to the Argyle goal before the interval and only some brilliant goalkeeping from Dunne prevented more Ipswich goals.
The Town with Heagan and Viljoen controlling the middle possessed too much skill for Argyle, while Baxter and the rest of the defence played calmly and coolly throughout and were seldom in difficulty against the Argyle attack.
