Your comments

I met Mr Chase in the summer of 1976. I was 24 and he was(I think) in his early 80s. He had the beach-hut next to me on Felixstowe beach and, each day, I would row him out to check his string of lobster-pots. we caught a few. As we rowed, we talked about life, and it was a very good experience as a young man. He was a vicar, Reverend Chase. He and his brother had run a garage in Ipswich for many years and then he `took the cloth`. A lovely man, he was very proud of having been an Ipswich Town player in his youth. I think of those days often, and with great fondness.
