The Beat is to be presented with a UEFA cup winners medal 27 years after Town`s victory over AZ `67 in the two-legged 1981 final. He played in eight of the 12 UEFA cup games that campaign, but an injury picked up in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Man City meant that he missed out of the final. UEFA president Michel Platini will present the medal to Beattie at this year`s final in Manchester later this month.

His address should read: Caeysgawen, Brynteg, Anglesey/Ynys Mon. I don`t think he ever played for Holyhead. He initially played for Bangor City, then was singed by Spurs. He stayed with Spurs for 5-6 years followed by Ipswich. He left Ipswich for Wrexham. Wrexham was the last football club he played for. He left Wrexham, and took over his father`s road haulage company with his brother, Emyr, in Anglesey. He`s now retired and living with his wife, Doreen, in Brynteg, Anglesey - surrounded by children, grand-children and great-grandchildren!! I`m his sister.
