Tommy Miller's Spot Kick Record
Tommy Miller’s spot kick against Sheffield United on November 29, 2008 was his 21st straight penalty conversion since hitting a match winning spotkick, for Hartlepool, against Southend United in December 2000. He had previously hit four in a row for Hartlepool, a short run that ended when Kidderminster's Stuart Brock saved his spot kick attempt in November 2000. His first ever penalty for the 'Pool ended in a miss, although Tommy did follow up to net the rebound, and his goal against Burnley in September 2000, was a retake following a miss at the first attempt, as was his spot kick against Nottingham Forest at Portman Road in April 2003.
