The Labworth is an Art Deco Cafe overlooking the Thames Estuary on Canvey Island’s Western Esplanade. Designed by Ove Arup – who during the 1950′s was design engineer for the Sydney Opera House – it is said to resemble the bridge of the ocean liner The Queen Mary.
